September 23, 2025.<\/strong>\u00a0The Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will make an Official Visit to the City of Greater Sudbury from Wednesday, September 24 to Thursday, September 25, 2025.<\/p>\n

Her Honour will participate in the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the Franco-Ontarian flag, meet with His Worship Paul Lefebvre, Mayor of the City of Greater Sudbury, visit local schools and Women\u2019s centres, host the unveiling reception for a province-wide initiative, and attend various community events highlighting the vibrancy of Ontario\u2019s francophonie in Northern Ontario.<\/p>\n

This will be Her Honour\u2019s twelfth official visit in Ontario.<\/p>\n

8:25\u202fa.m. Meeting with His Worship Paul Lefebvre, Mayor of the City of Greater Sudbury<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Lieutenant Governor will meet with Mayor Lefebvre at City Hall, followed by a reception with community leaders.<\/p>\n

9:40\u202fa.m. Visit to St. Francis Catholic Elementary School<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her Honour will tour the school and meet with students, including presenting a congratulatory letter to young author Kylie Simpson, in recognition of the publication of her book\u00a0Note to Self<\/i>.<\/p>\n

10:40 a.m. Visit to \u00c9cole publique Jeanne-Sauv\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her Honour will tour the French-language elementary school and view student art projects created for the Franco-Ontarian flag anniversary.<\/p>\n
