Lieutenant Governor is Hosting Legacy of Hope Foundation Exhibition

TORONTO, September 8, 2026 – The Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, is hosting A National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: September 30th, a month-long exhibition presented by the Legacy of Hope Foundation and displayed throughout September in the Lieutenant Governor’s Suites at Queen’s Park.

Through educational content and historical context, the exhibition explores the origins and significance of Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, as well as the lasting impacts of Residential Schools, Day Schools and the Child Welfare System.

The exhibition will be open to visitors on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout September in advance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Visitors interested in viewing the exhibit are encouraged to plan their visit by consulting this page.

Program: The Lieutenant Governor will formally launch the exhibition alongside Indigenous leaders, community partners and invited guests.
